FAITH IS HER NAME

SOME are waiting for 2013 to be epic. But, some feel daily their lives are epic. How does one decide that later their life will be epic? Why wouldn’t they feel their life at the moment is epic? Even though you are struggling for success and/or even waiting for that moment of supremacy one should never feel they must wait to experience the power of epic. NOW is your moment and believe every second, moment and hour is a miracle. Don’t [forget] your halo is showing. Most im[p]ortant all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed.  Matthew 17:20 XOXOXO

BEWARE OF HAMMER TIME!

Have you ever been out on a date with your man or with your girlfriends and seen a woman walking in some beautiful stilettos. But, you quickly ask yourself why is she walking like a duck? Quack Quack and Quack!

Unfortunately, some women haven’t been properly taught how to purchase the correct stilettos for their feet. Did you know your feet are one of the most important parts on your body?

Did you know purchasing the wrong stilettos cause corns and bunions?  The worst part is your man may ask to massage your feet after eating a gourmet meal and watching a movie with you. But, your corns and bunions may cause him to run far away.

Is looking good a few hours worth being in pain for a long time? Is looking good for a few hours worth your man discovering you have hammer time? No, so please purchase the correct stilettos for your cute little feet. Or, they may turn into elephant feet.  Some 3 to 6 inch heel suggestions.

1.      When purchasing shoes it’s important you try on shoes at the end of the day.

2.      Make sure you try both shoes on and walk around in them for a while.

3.      And, please stay away from the quack, quack and quack walk.

XOXOXO

CAN YOU HANDLE THE TRUTH?

Perfect, Flawless, and Impeccable can turn you into a silly clown. But, hard-work with a few innocent inaccuracies can make you proud! A fruitful lesson to learnJ Always work hard with passion but don’t lose your morals and values in the process.  XOXOXO

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE YELLOW

Did you know lemons can satisfy some of your senses? Lemons are decorative. Lemons taste great with some sugar and H20.  Also, lemons smell good.  But, did you know lemons have the potential to clean and/or sparkle your beautiful home? Here are some examples.

1. Lemon juice can be used instead of bleach

2. Lemon juice works great as a degreaser

3. Lemon juice is excellent at cutting odors

4. Lemon juice can remove stubborn stains on stubborn places

5. Lemon juice makes cleaning with vinegar more tolerable

6. Lemon juice is also a pretty good glass cleaner on its own

So the next time you want to drink a delicious cold glass of lemonade also think about cleaning your house with it tooJ  XOXOXO

RED, WHITE AND BLUE

Some would think this picture depicts a Third World Country (TWC). Some would assume this is a picture of war. Some would posit this is a picture of poverty. Some would speculate this is a picture of fire.  Unfortunately, Third World Countries (TWC), wars, fires and poverty are all sad.  Please let’s remember the families and victims of Hurricane Sandy. XOXOXO

A CLASSICAL MOMENT

No, I’m not talking about Bach, Beethoven, Wagner, and Chopin just to name a few. But, I’m talking about The Great Gatsby.

We all read The Great Gatsby in high school. We all walked away with a story that will live in our lives forever. But, the story and/or script has modernized it way to the Big Screen. Hopefully, they don’t change history but just remind us how good of a novelist The Great Gatsby, is and will always be, and F. Scott Fitzgerald as an author.

I have faith in Leonardo Dicaprio to take us back in time. XOXOXO

CALLING ALL LADIES, PRINCESSES AND QUEENS

PRINCESS LEA RULES

You’re braver than I thought! Women are designed to encourage and empower. Women have to go beyond the call of duty. Sometimes they have to inspire one but then they result to motivating all. When there is war; there is peace. When there is poverty; there is prosperity. When there is doubt; there is faith. When there is deceit; there is truth. Most important, when there is hate; there is love. Star Wars proved those survival skills to all of us. Let’s go down memory lane. “I find your lack of faith disturbing”, said Darth Vader, Star Wars Episode IV, “I’m Luke Skywalker- I’m here to rescue you”, said Luke Skywalker, Star Wars Episode IV,  “And may the Force be with you”, said General Dodonna, Star Wars Episode IV, “Han Solo: I love you. Princess Leia: I know”, said Princess Leia, Star Wars Episode VI. Just remember, there is always a woman on standby waiting gracefully to make that unknown moment beautiful. XOXOXO

TAKE TWO OF THESE CROSSWORD PUZZLES AND CALL ME IN THE MORNING

IT’S ALL ABOUT MATH, WRITING AND ARITHMETIC

A mind is a terrible thing to lose. How often does once stimulate the mind. Or, how often does one use critical thinking? Life is about progression, growth and development. Did you know your brain continues to grow? Yes, even during the aging epoch.
Although, any intellectually stimulating activity can help prevent brain disease and increase intellect and/or brain power, crossword puzzles, which require daily, sustained bursts of cognitive effort, are particularly effective in helping prevent memory loss. Let’s practice prevention. It’s easy. We are all victims of saying I forgot and/or I don’t remember. Ladies, you can be smart and pretty. That sounds pretty cool!
To keep minds and/or brains healthy try some of these cute ideas. Please consult with your local health doctor.
  1. Experience new, safe, and fun things. Each time you learn something new, safe, and fun your brain builds new pathways.
  2. Maintain old skills and/or develop new ones, e.g. reading, cooking, sports, gardening, learning to play golf.
  3. Socialize with old friends, and make new friends. Beware of gossipers.
  4. Exercise. Yes, your brain and body are connected. Studies have proven that exercise stimulates new cell growth in the brain increasing mental abilities 20% to 30%. Great numbers.
  5. Beauty Sleep. A good night of sleep (about 8 hours) is essential for proper brain function.
  6. Drink plenty of water. The brain works best when properly hydrated. Don’t keep your brain thirsty.
  7. Eat a healthy diet. Research constantly demonstrates that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables will benefit the brain and the body. Remember your body is your kingdom. XOXOXO

WHO AND WHERE IS YOUR SUPERVISOR

THANK YOU FOR COMING TO CHICK-FIL-A AND IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO SERVE YOU

Customer Service practices is becoming a memory. Customer Service is a culture. You have to practice, believe and invest into the philosophy. It starts at a young age.
Here’s a cute story to share. You are sitting in a 3rd grade classroom. Your teacher asks nicely, “Please, Jane Doe can you help me hand out pencils and some paper.” You proceed to participant. As you walk to the tables you have an opportunity to respond politely or rudely. First option: you politely say to the first student, which pencil do you want and here’s your paper with a smile and thank you. This process continues until you have completed your task. Second option: you rudely say to the first student, take this pencils and paper with a mean look on your face and walk off.  There were options to offer which color pencils to students but you don’t care. This process continues until you have completed the task. The second option demonstrating the rude behavior continues throughout adolescent’s years. Furthermore, it’s sad that it continues throughout adulthood too.
Collectively, how can we all contribute to this social phenomenon? It starts with parents but it takes a village.
Some years ago, Chick-fil-A figured it out. Did you know Chick-fil-A is one of the top fast-food restaurants that practice, invest and believe in quality customer service? Every time, I go into a Chick-Fil-A restaurant they make me feel like I’m the only customer. Their employees work very hard to make your Chick-Fil-A experience a great one. So the next time you want quality food and superb customer service go to Chick-Fil-A. It’s my pleasure! XOXOXO

ACCORDING TO THE BRITISH YOU’RE, “DOG’S DINNER.” (DRESS NICELY)

RALPH LAUREN CARDIGAN

If you’re going to a Junior League Meeting (JLM), a church picnic, a library reading, dining with family and friends, volunteering for your local charity or a social outing you need something cute and trendy to wrap up in. Did you know Mr. Roger’s---à”My Neighbors”, believed that too? You need a cardigan for warmth and style. Some believe cardigans are exclusively for the smart and trendy. The cardigan sweater begins as far back as the mid 1800's during the Crimean War. James Thomas Brudenell was the 7th Earl of Cardigan - and he's who the sweater was named after.  This British military commander served in this war and thus began the wearing of the cardigan sweater in popular culture. So, the next time you put on your Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, J-Crew, Brooks Brother and Lacoste cardigan think about the British.  Bee’s Knees. XOXOXO

A BED COMES IN DIFFERENT FORMS AND FASHION!

IT’S MORE THAN JUST A NAP

Daily, I drive by the bridge en-route to downtown, Atlanta, I ponder on all the men and women who are homeless. I see clothes, buggies, cardboard boxes, and a lot of this and that. One particular day, as I was drove by the bridge it was raining really hard. I noticed the homeless people were trying to stay dry. I thought it will be a cute idea to donate some tents. Homeless is a social phenomenon but that doesn’t mean we can’t fight it.  So the next time you’re at Target or even at your local thrifty shop, please think about the homeless people and donate a tent to a shelter. It’s a start. XOXOXO

Time is always ticking.  Every second, minute and hour someone is always looking at their watch, phone or even politely inquiring about what time it is? How often does one relax in a beautiful garden to read a book? Or, how often does one go to their local park where lovely flowers are placed to read a magazine? Have you thought about planting flowers in your yard? I’m sure you’ve mesmerized how elegant and peaceful it would be to have a stunning garden in your front or back yard. IT’S SOMETHING ABOUT A GRANDMOTHER’S KITCHEN!

When it comes to a grandmother’s lovely kitchen we want to know the hidden ingredients to her delicious recipes. We sneak in her cabinets and pry through her special cookbooks. Sometimes we even sneak in her office to see if we’re lucky enough to find something about her sweet potato pies or blueberry muffins. Once we walk into her gorgeous home, we immediately smell those red onions, green peppers with a touch of garlic cooking with some good-old, chicken. She may even sprinkle those delightful [fixings] on some vegetables. Regardless, grandmother will always be the best cook. But, I’m sure she would like her girls to know about the red onion, green peppers with a touch of garlic. Shhh, you didn’t hear one of grandmother’s hidden ingredients from me. XOXOXO

PICK ME UP AT 7:00 I’LL BE READY.

LADIES, HAVING FUN WHILE SIPPING ON WINE AND PAINTING. SO, WHERE’S YOUR GLASS AND PAINT BRUSH?

Ladies, are you tired of doing the same thing on your date night? Are you tired of your man choosing a movie and a dinner? Are you tired of staying at home with your man to just watch television? What about the ladies, who currently don’t have a man, but spend beautiful time with your girlfriends and just tired of going out to dinner to talk about getting a man. Well, I have a cute suggestion. Have you thought about sipping wine while painting a beautiful piece of art? Yes, you can love on your man and sip wine while painting a memorable piece of art. If you’re spending time with your girlfriends, you can talk about the latest Mikimoto set of pearls, the best cookbook, the hottest pair of stilettos and/or even designer handbags or even talk about volunteering while sipping on wine and painting at the same time.  Wine and painting is the cutest idea. That said, once I start dating, my knight in shining armour must have some creativity. Meaning, it’s okay for us to agree on a movie and a dinner or even me cooking a lovely meal, but we have to try sipping on some wine while painting a beautiful picture. XOXOXO

WHAT’S YOUR SCENT?

PERFUME AT IT’S FINEST

Historically, perfume began in antiquity.  The word “perfume” derives from the Latin per fume "through smoke". Originally, one of the oldest uses of perfumes comes from the burning of incense and aromatic herbs used in religious services, often the aromatic gums, frankincense and myrrh, gathered from trees. Yes, let’s give the “Garden of Eden some credit.” Moreover, the Egyptians were the first to incorporate perfume into their culture followed by other ancients: Chinese, Hindus, Israelites, Carthaginians, Arabs, Greeks, and Romans.  Furthermore, the Egyptians were the first to use the perfume bottles, which dates back to 1000 Bicentennial (BC). As a result, the Egyptians invented glass and perfume bottles were one of the first common uses for glass.

Your scent may or may not define who you are but it does identify who you are. Wearing perfume is like painting art. It’s about season, craftsmanship, talent, apparel, presentation, and basically where you’re going. Most important, it’s about your chemistry. Perfume connoisseurs tend to study and understand the importance of perfume. It is essential that you know what perfume colors (scents) work best with you and your body chemistry.

Did you know spraying perfume on your clothes can damage the material? Recently, I discovered that some ladies don’t properly spray their perfume on. You don’t want you’re dry cleaning bill to equate to nothing.  Here are some cute tips on how to apply your beautiful smell.

Ladies, before I share this historical perspective on how to properly spray perfume let me share a little secret. It’s acceptable to layer perfumes. But, try to use all the same perfume in various products. First, take a hot shower or a warm bath. Afterwards, begin with a shower or bath gel. Next, rub in body lotion or spray with a matching after bath spray. Finally, spray your scent preferably known as perfume or Eau de Parfum (EDP).

Now, let’s move on to the next lovely step on to how to properly spray. It’s really not a secret. It’s just about knowing how to spray. As you apply, spray to pulse points such as the folds in the crook of your elbow and back of knees, wrist, neck and cleavage. After applying, do not rub your wrist together. Spray a little into the air and then walk directly into the perfume is good. This technique helps to diffuse it over your body. Please, refrain from applying to the neck. Basically, perfume always works up the body as the scent rises.

I’m sure by now your pondering how to properly take care of your perfume bottles? It’s simple. Always, keep your perfume bottles tightly closed. It’s important to keep your perfume bottles away from direct heat and/or out of sunlight. Keep those beautiful bottles out of your bathrooms too. Not such a good place to store. That said, the next time you’re about to purchase a scent for purpose make sure you know exactly what you’re getting. A Christian Clive perfume connoisseur does. XOXOXO

A WOMAN'S DREAM: HERMES BIRKIN! ONE DAY I'LL BE THAT LUCKY WOMAN TO OWN ONE:-) AND YOU CAN TOO.
